These solutions serve various purposes and are particularly effective for local use while also suppressing ventricular tachycardia and ventricular extrasystoles. Dosage adjustments are necessary based on the patient’s age, specific condition, and overall health status. Administration can be via intravenous, intramuscular, or subcutaneous routes.

For Adults:

• Slowly administer 50-100 mg (1-2 mg/kg) over 1-2 minutes initially.
• A second dose of the same amount may be given after five minutes if needed.
• Repeat the same dose as necessary at 10-20 minute intervals, with a maximum dose of 300 mg per hour.
• For sustained effects, administer by intravenous infusion while monitoring ECG. The infusion rate should be 1-2 mg per minute, with a maximum rate of 4 mg per minute if needed.
